The Autonics MD5-HD14 is a 5-phase micro stepper motor driver designed to realize low-vibration and high-precision control. Optimized for various industrial environments requiring compact and precise actuation, it supports high-resolution Micro Step control (up to 250 divisions) to ensure smooth rotation and accurate positioning. It is equipped with Auto Current Down and Self-Diagnosis functions, securing both energy efficiency and safety.

Ultra-Precision Control (Micro Stepping): Divides the basic step angle (0.72°) into up to 250 steps (0.00288°), allowing for smooth rotation without vibration even at low speeds.

Bipolar Constant Current Pentagon Drive: Adopts a drive method that maximizes motor output and minimizes torque loss during high-speed rotation.

 

User-Centric Functions:

Auto Current Down: Automatically reduces the current supplied to the motor when it stops to suppress heat generation.

Self-Diagnosis (TEST): Allows for motor operation testing (approx. 30 rpm) directly from the driver without an external controller.

 

Flexible Input Options: Supports selectable 1-pulse or 2-pulse input methods via switch settings.

Stable Signal Input: Isolated photocoupler input design minimizes the influence of external electrical noise.
